Jazz Music’s Holy Trinity
COOL JAZZ MEETS CONTEMPORARY SWAG
Hot on the heels of their critically-acclaimed album Trialogue (released through 33Jazz), Marco Marconi Trio have been thrilling spectators with their contemporary jazz stylings at iconic London nightspots like Ronnie Scott’s and the 606 Club.
Helmed by Marco Marconi, an Italian jazz pianist known as “The Doctor”, and elevated by sidekicks Tom Farmer (double bass) and Emiliano Caroselli (drums), this dynamic combo comes with a venerable pedigree, honed here in the UK and further abroad.
Marconi’s distinct, cinematic compositions are skillfully bolstered by Farmer and Caroselli’s inspired musicianship. Their jazz spellbinds on record and in atmospheric clubs, captivating punters and music critics.
Melding original tracks with classic jazz standards, the trio has honed a winning formula. Their next album New Roads will fuse bebop, ballads, bossa nova, tango and moody numbers, and will feature one of Europe’s leading jazz saxophonists, Max Ionata.
In an age when hep cats thought that they’d heard it all, Marco Marconi Trio delivers something truly fresh. This is eclectic jazz for the 21st century — edgy, soulful, spontaneously rhythmic.
